Pheasants Forever’s conservation efforts
provide habitat—for all wildlife

0Winter has arrived, and with it, frozen trigger fingers, heavy boots, and stubborn birds that hold tight.
Chasing pheasants in snow-fleeced uplands is a lot of work, but admittedly it presents one of the most beautiful backdrops for a mature Rooster in full plume. We might think it’s pretty, but to a pheasant, winter is all about survival. Making it to Spring, fighting to find food and shelter.
It’s all about Habitat.
Winter is also the time for conservationists from all across the Midwest to rally and fight for quality habitat so that wildlife stands a fighting chance for future generations.
Thanks to past generosity to the Pelican River Pheasants Forever (PRPF), the local chapter has continued to support a variety of efforts, including youth education and in-field participation, habitat enhancement, pollinator projects, conservation promotion, hunter education, and land acquisitions.
The chapter has supported \the Pelican Rapids High School Trap team.
This past year marks the beginning of a project of restoration and enhancement for a Natural Learning Area on school property for area students.
February 4th, 2023, marks the 21st Annual PRPF Banquet. We eagerly invite you to attend, and we kindly ask you to consider donating.
Keep in mind that every dollar you donate grows up to six times through grants and match funding sources dedicated to public land use, youth education, habitat restoration, firearms safety, and more.
