In only their second year as an organized sports team at Pelican Rapids High School, the Viking Trap Shooters continue to climb the ladder to success.

Congratulations to this fine team of trap shooting athletes for their accomplishment of finishing in seventh place out of a field of twenty-one teams at the recent 2016 Trap Shooting Championship in Alexandria, MN, which is acclaimed at the World’s Largest event of this nature. Also, congratulations to Abby Fresonke for her third place finish in the High Gun Female Novice Division. What an achievement for her!

These trap shooting accomplishments would not have become a reality without the dedicated guidance and coaching of many volunteers who gave of their resources, talents and time.

The addition of this sports team to Pelican Rapids High School has proven to have been rewarding to our school and athletes alike. It has become a popular team as students from seventh grade to seniors encourage, support and applaud one another. The popularity is also witnessed by the increased participation this year at PRHS.

Again, congratulations to athletes and volunteer coaches for your team and individual success and the fine representation for Pelican Rapids High School and our community.
