Sharon Nelson, age 80 of Bradenton FL, formerly of Pelican Rapids & Barnesville MN, died Tuesday March 7, 2023 in Bradenton, FL.

Sharon Nelson was born on June 2, 1942 in Barnesville, MN to Charles (Ken) & Florence (Lindholm) Nelson.  

On February 11, 1961 she was united in marriage to Rodney Nelson in Barnesville, MN. They farmed in rural Barnesville for many years where she was a homemaker. Sharon was often found by Rodney’s side whether at work or play. Sharon was an accomplished artist, enjoying painting and gardening.

They retired to Franklin Lake in rural Pelican Rapids in 2000. Sharon loved her family and enjoyed time spent with them. After Rodney passed away, she moved to Florida to live near her 3 sons & families. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Sharon is survived by her children Robert (Nellie) Nelson, of Parrish, FL; Terry (Karin) Nelson, of Bradenton, FL; Paula Sanden of Alexandria, MN; Ryan (Jennifer Walker) Nelson, of Sarasota, FL; and Joni Moore, of Bradenton, FL; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Nelson, of Moorhead, MN; two brothers-in-law, Douglas (Charlotte) Nelson and Ivan (Gloria) Nelson, of Barnesville, MN; a sister-in-law, Ilene Krueger, of Bradenton, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney, an infant son, as well as her parents.
