Marlys Arntson Meagher age 85 died peacefully November 4, 2023 in the care of Sangre de Cristo Hospice House. Born in Pelican Rapids, MN on December 6, 1937. Preceded in death by her parents Anna (Haugen) and Ole Arntson, sister Doris Moffet, Moose Lake, MN. Survived by her husband of 57 years William Meagher, sister June Hansen, Moorhead, MN, and 6 children; Kristen (Gregory) Meier, Joseph (Megan) Meagher, Andrew (Kitrian) Meagher, Melissa (Dave) Luedke, Brian (Carmen) Meagher, Moira (Peter) Sergejev, plus 12 grandchildren: Sean, William, Tiernan, Sophia, Kelton, Isabel, Caleb, Oliver, Violeta, Guillermo, Kylie and Camryn. She had 8 nieces and nephews. Marlys attended eight years in a one room country school #39 in Scambler Township and graduated from Pelican Rapids High School. Upon HS graduation, Marlys attended Moorhead State College and graduated from NDSU with a degree in Home Economics. She continued on to St Catherine in St. Paul, MN for a degree in Dietetics. She completed her work life at Head Start. Marlys was an excellent homemaker, accomplished artist, avid reader, and long time member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Final arrangements at T.G. McCarthy, 329 Goodnight Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004, Friday November 10th. Viewing at 10:30am, service 11am, luncheon at noon, private 2pm interment for family at Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, any donations made to the Joni Fair Hospice House 1107 Pueblo Blvd Way, Pueblo, CO 81005 or Sangre de Cristo Hospice.
