Thomas Johnson, age 79, of Eagan, MN passed away July 11, 2021, surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by parents Martin and Eunice Johnson. Survived by loving family, wife Pam, son, Christopher (Marilyn) Johnson and daughter, Nancy (Tony) Snow, grandchildren: Christopher, Emily, David Johnson, Matthew, Catherine, John Snow, brother, Mark, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He served in the Air Force Reserve for 26 years as a navigator flying C-130’s, where he traveled the world and retired as a Lt. Colonel. He had an accomplished career with IBM, International Graphics, and Moore Business Systems, and was granted a patent in May 1998.
His sense of humor was captured through his various sayings that came to be known as “Grandpa-isms” that made those around him laugh. Tom was a devoted family man who was deeply involved with our lives. He never missed an event that involved a family member and was always the biggest supporter. He was the dad and grandpa every person should have. He was proud of his Norwegian heritage. Tom was truly larger than life and will be deeply missed by all.
Private interment at Fort Snelling. Memorials are preferred to the donor’s favorite charity.
