Marcella V. Lange, age 104 died Saturday, July 6, 2019 in the Broen Home, Fergus Falls, MN.
Marcella was born to Fred and Lydia (Burggraf) Jenne on September 13, 1914 in Star Lake Township. She attended the Zorn School District 137 and was a lifetime member of Maine Presbyterian Church. She married Adolph Lange in 1938. Together they farmed in Star Lake Township for many years. They were the parents of two sons, Larry and Doug.
Marcella enjoyed her life on the farm. Their home was a very nice, welcoming place for many family gatherings over the years; always having the coffee pot on. She loved cooking, baking, canning and caring for her garden. It seemed that Marcella was always working on a set of dishtowels. She generously shared her embroidered towels with many friends and relatives.
Marcella and Adolph moved from their farm to Perham in 1987. Adolph passed away in 1988. Marcella continued to live in her home in Perham and St. James Manor apartments for 35 years. She moved to the Thomas House III in 2012 and moved to the Broen Home in 2017.
Surviving Marcella are her two sons Larry (Joan) of Perham and Doug (Sharon) of Seattle, WA; her five grandchildren Brad, Todd, Jody, Lisa and Heidi; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Preceding Marcella in death were her parents; her husband Adolph; and her two brothers Jerome and Shannon Jenne.
