Daryl Frazier, age 62, a resident of Detroit Lakes died on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Daryl Frazier was born on December 29, 1954, the son of Benjamin and Mavis Frazier of rural Pelican Rapids. Daryl graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1972. He then attended Bemidji State University (BSU) beginning in the fall of 1972. He graduated from Bemidji State University in the spring of 1976, earning an undergraduate Degree in Business Administration. Daryl was then accepted into the MBA program at Indiana University (IU) in Bloomington, Indiana. He attained his MBA degree in 1978 with an emphasis in accounting. He taught a number of undergraduate courses in accounting while at Indiana University.

Daryl specialized in accounting throughout his business career. He worked for companies in New York City, Boston, Los Angeles and Nashville. In 2009 he moved back to Minnesota and was Chief Financial Officer (C.F.O.) for “Honor the Earth” in Callaway, MN.

Daryl loved to play and follow baseball. He played little league through American Legion in Pelican Rapids. His favorite team was the New York Yankees and his favorite player was Mickey Mantle. Daryl also had a passion for music. He wrote songs and played bass guitar for several bands including the Gizmos.

Preceding Daryl in death was his father, Benjamin, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.

Daryl is survived by his mother, Mavis, stepfather, Andy Krath: two brothers: Gary (Kyoung) and Mark; sister, Anita (Greg) Feir; nieces, nephews and an uncle.

Daryl will be sadly missed.

Memorial Gathering: Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids, MN.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids, MN. Clergy: Pastor Philip Johnson.
