  • 25th anniversary hoop tourney features ‘Tripwire’ for street dance

    Upper midwest touring band, “Tripwire,” will be a special feature during the 25th anniversary “Shada” three-on-three basketball tournament in Pelican Rapids. The well-known regional band will perform for a street dance June 9, in the large, riverside park and parking area west of the downtown business district.

    The annual spring scholarship night event recognized students–and contributing organizations and businesses–May 16 at the school auditorium.   Nearly $70,000 in awards were presented to Pelican students this year, including several sports-related scholarships.
