Handmade lace, crochet and tatting from the Heritage Lacemakers are now on display at the Otter Tail County Historical Museum’s Dunlap Room from May 7 through June 9.
The Heritage Lacemakers started meeting in the spring of 1998 for the purpose of furthering their members’ skills in various lacemaking techniques as well as promoting the study of lace in our cultural history. In 2002 they became a charter chapter of the International Organization of Lace.
In celebration of their 20th anniversary, an Opening Tea will be held on Monday, May 14, 1-3 p.m. On Monday, June 4, beginning at noon, the Lacemakers will present a program and demonstration on lacemaking.
