Fergus Falls veterans home earns customer experience award eight years running
The Minnesota Veterans Homes – Fergus Falls has received the Customer Experience Award for the eighth straight year, recognizing its high quality of care for veterans.
The award, presented by Activated Insights, ranks the Fergus Falls home among the top 15% of skilled nursing facilities nationwide.
Fergus Falls is one of seven Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs-run homes earning the award in the Skilled Nursing Facility category.
Other recognized locations include Luverne, Minneapolis, Silver Bay, Bemidji, Montevideo, and Preston.
Eric Meittunen, deputy commissioner of veterans healthcare, credited the dedication of employees for the award.
“We are very proud of the level of care that is provided and appreciate the work of all employees to provide this experience to Residents and families,” says Eric Meittunen, Deputy Commissioner of Veterans Healthcare.
“These Activated Insights survey results validate the overall quality our Homes provide to our Residents,” Meittunen continued.
The award is based on monthly telephone interviews with residents and their families, who are asked about their satisfaction in areas such as dining, meeting individual needs, and overall experience.
Activated Insights collects and compares feedback from homes across the country before naming winners.
The Minnesota Veterans Homes plan to continue using survey feedback to make improvements and maintain their high standards, officials said.
A healthy Otter Tail County requires great community news.
