Lisa Melby
Lisa Melby, age 48, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 18, 1977, to her beloved parents, Vernon and Connie Wifall, she was the first of four siblings and lived a life full of adventure, dedication and genuine kindness.
Lisa was married to Adam on December 21, 2007, in an intimate beach ceremony in Hawaii. They first met in 2003, but because Lisa was so focused on school and raising Anna, she told him she didn’t have time to date. Fate brought them back together when Lisa reached out on New Year’s Eve 2004 and as they say, the rest is history.
Together, they built a beautiful life full of family, traveling and making new memories wherever life took them. She was a devoted mother to Anna and Emma who were her pride and joy. She poured her whole heart into her marriage and motherhood, present for every milestone, challenge and quiet moment in between.

Lisa had a deep and unwavering passion for education. She was committed to her own academic journey and earned her masters in 2011. She began her teaching career in Las Vegas in 2005 as an elementary teacher, later Florida where she served as a literacy coach, and most recently a Media specialist for the Moorhead public schools.
Education was more than a profession to Lisa, it was her purpose and passion. Her passion for reading, learning, and inspiring students touched countless lives. Lisa had a love for the beach which was her happy place. She loved the slower pace of beach life collecting shells and shark teeth and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. As long as she could be on the water with family and friends, she was happy.

She was a loving daughter, sister, mom, wife and friend. She also took great pride in being an auntie, cherishing her time with her nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly by all. Her world revolved around her husband and daughters as well as her beloved Pug, Ollie. They were the center of her world.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Heathers House Hospice (HIA) for taking care of Lisa and making her feel comfort and love.
