Donald D. Moberg
Donald “Don” Moberg, 88, of Perham, Minnesota, died January 29, 2026, at Perham Living Nursing Home.
Donald Dale Moberg was born June 23, 1937, in Lida Township, Minnesota, to Elmer and Inga (Beiningen) Moberg. He grew up near Pelican Rapids and attended country school. After high school, Moberg served three years in the Army as a Staff Sergeant in the 443rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion.
After returning from military service, Moberg married Bernadine Emma Rohde in 1960. The couple lived in the Twin Cities for a time before settling in Perham to raise their family. They enjoyed traveling the country with friends and family whenever possible.
Moberg was a devoted Minnesota sports fan, especially the Twins and Vikings. He worked as a truck driver and dispatcher for Land O’ Lakes for 27 years, then as a volunteer driver for Otter Tail County until his 80s. He enjoyed reading, westerns, traditional country music, Otter Tail County history, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Todd Moberg of Minneapolis; grandsons, Trey Moberg of Defiance, Ohio, and Isaiah Moberg of Perham; granddaughter, Jolanah Moberg of Perham; and many nieces and nephews.
Moberg was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Inga Moberg; wife, Bernadine Emma, in 1987; daughter, Debbie Moberg, in infancy; son, Terry Lee Moberg, in 2019; and siblings, Claude, Bud, Myron, Bill, and Darlene.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service in Perham in late April 2026. Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service, Perham, is handling arrangements. For more information, call (218) 346-5175 or visit www.schoenebergerfh.com.
