The proposed solar farm would be located next to the county’s solid waste transfer station near 426th Street and 9th Street Northwest, referred to by locals as the dump road. Another site was considered but closer to residential areas.
“The site selected for the solar farm sort of fits in this setting,” said Mayor Brent Frazier.

Lori Kubitz relocated to Pelican Rapids with her husband Jeff Kubitz, a Pelican native, and has been serving as Pelican city’s accounting clerk since Nov. 2023.
