The proposed solar farm would be located next to the countyโ€™s solid waste transfer station near 426th Street and 9th Street Northwest, referred to by locals as the dump road. Another site was considered  but closer to residential areas. 
โ€œThe site selected for the solar farm sort of fits in this setting,โ€ said Mayor Brent Frazier.
