Linda A. Nelson

December 02, 2024

Linda (Grahn) Nelson, 66, of Vergas, Minnesota, went to her final home in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
She was born November 26, 1957, in Perham, Minnesota, to Gerald and Rosella (Kading) Grahn. She graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1976 and from NDSU with an Associates Degree in computer programming. She worked as a computer programmer for various companies and also worked/volunteered at ministries in various roles: Secretary at Maranatha Free Lutheran Church (Glyndon, MN), Youth for Christ Parent Life Ministry, Parish Education and Database/Accounting Bookkeeper for the Association of Free Lutheran
Congregations, Office Support at Calvary Free Lutheran Church (Fergus Falls, MN), and WMF Leadership.
September 13, 1975, she married Dean S. Nelson at Zion Lutheran Church (Pelican Rapids, MN). They both were transformed forever through God's grace and forgiveness, meeting Jesus in 1988. Without ceasing, she avidly shared her testimony of the amazing grace of Jesus with everyone she encountered. She was a founding member of Maranatha Free Lutheran Church and attended several other congregations, eventually becoming a member of Calvary Free Lutheran Church. While she wasn't traveling with Dean to visit family and friends, she loved activities that allowed her to bless and interact with others, especially her grandchildren (gardening, sewing, baking, knitting).
She is preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law: Carlton and Martha Nelson; brother-in-law Aaron Nelson and sister-in-law Corinne Nelson. Linda is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dean; one son: Barry (Kyrie) Nelson; three daughters: Kelly (Daniel) Keinanen, Amber Nelson, Jessica (Ryan) Stockman; 11 grandchildren: Silas, Cedric, Teemu,
Aria, Gabriel, Mikko, Titus, Adlyn, Aaron, Eilis, Tobias; one uncle: Vernon Kading; four sisters: Gloria Nyland, Ruth (Joseph) Baity, Dolores (Paul) Hugo, Helen (Jeff) Guille; one brother: Gordon Grahn; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 5-7pm with a Prayer Service following from 7-8pm at Calvary Free Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, MN.
Funeral will be Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11am at Calvary Free Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, with a Luncheon following. After the luncheon, Linda will be laid to rest at Pelican Valley Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, MN.
