Gwendolyn Jorgenson

Gwendolyn Faye Jorgenson, 95, died Saturday, October, 19, 2024, at Pelican Valley Senior Living in Pelican Rapids.
She was born Gwendolyn Faye Olson on November 28, 1928, toEmil and Annie (Svare) Olson. She graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1947.
On November 2, 1947, she married Harley Jorgenson. They made their home in Rothsay for 30 years. They moved to Erhard where Gwen served as Postmaster until she retired in 1992. She moved back to Rothsay in 2012 until 2021, when she moved to Pelican Valley Senior Living.
Gwen remained an active member of New Life Lutheran Church and her community. She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Harley; sons, Michael, Dennis, Craig and Scott; daughter, Wendy; sisters, Elaine, Helen Mae and Karen Sue and brothers, Loren and Herbert.
Survivors include daughter, Bonnie Arnold of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Amanda (Shawn) Walsh of Maple Grove and Michael (Ashley) Arnold of Rosemount; great-grandchildren, Taylor Clarke, Kaitlin Walsh, Chase and Harley Arnold; sister, Helen Marsh; brother, David Olson; daughter-in-law, Kathy Jorgenson and sisters-in-law, Shirley (Herb) Olson and Doris (Edward) Jorgenson.
Gwen was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all.
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024 at New Life Lutheran Church in Rothsay with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment: Hamar Cemetery, Rothsay, Minnesota
