City wins grants for airport improvements

The Pelican Rapids Area Rotary Club and city-sponsored Fly-In breakfast on August 3 showcased what the Pelican City Airport has to offer. Pictured here, some of the 250 guests at the airport event. The airport is slated for $80,000 in improvements, thanks to a pair of state grants.

The Just for Kix holiday show was a colorful display of movement at the Pelican Rapids High School “Leaders” gym on Dec. 5. Dancers in all age categories took to the floor for a large audience of parents, family, and friends. The program is under the direction of Pelican area Kix director Amy Potts. The theme of the show was “Old Fashioned Holiday.” In addition to younger dance students, the Pelican High School Valkyries competitive dance group was also a guest performer. SUBMITTED PHOTOS
