Pelican Rapids VFW Post 5252 representatives met with Minnesota State House Rep. Jeff Backer, who helped secure $3,000 in state funding to relocate the Veterans Memorial from the VFW corner to the Pelican Veterans Memorial Park.
They are pictured at the World War II-era cannon, which was also at the VFW memorial location but moved last year to the park. The memorial will be rebuilt at a site near the cannon.
