CITY OF PELICAN RAPIDS, MINNESOTA FILING FOR CITY OFFICES OPENS JULY 30, 2024 CLOSES AUGUST 13, 2024

Tuesday, July 30, 2024, is the first day and Tuesday, August 13, 2024, is the last day for candidates who wish to file for elective offices in the regular city election to be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
There is an opening on the city council for mayor, the elected position held by Brent E. Frazier, and two openings for council members, the elected position held by Kevin Ballard and Steve Foster.
The mayor’s term is for two years and the term of council members is for four years. The filing fee for either office is $2.00 and affidavits for candidacy may be filed with the City Clerk at City Hall, 315 N Broadway.  Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Friday 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Filing will close August 13, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
