Gran Lutheran Church, above, located west of Rollag on County Road 31, will be observing its 145th anniversary on June 30. Note the Norwegian language signage on the front of the church, โ€œGran Menighed.โ€ Gran is a regional area in Norway and translates as โ€œspruce tree,โ€ according to Rev. Jim Greene. Menighed translates as โ€œcongregation.โ€
