Pelican runners perform well at Moerke meet; boys take top three

The Viking Cross Country Team hosted the Glenn Moerke Invitational September 28 at Birchwood Golf Course.
The smaller meet allowed plenty of hardware to come home with Viking team members. The boys’ and girls’ teams came home with team titles.
Scoring top ten finishes and t-shirts were Megan Guler, Kirra Johnson, Dylan Hoadley, Aftyn Hahn, Charlie Larson, Jack Welch, Brody Syverson, Peyton Borgen, Braxton Johnson, and Philip Kleinschmidt.
Charlie Larson continued his winning streak with a first-place finish in the boys’ varsity race. Notching personal bests were Sarah Haugrud, Kloie Nordick, and Jaxon Dalman.
