The stage is set for a Pelican Rapids theatrical production of the quintessential musical: “Music Man.” 

The popular musical, a favorite of audiences and school and community theater for several generations, will be presented in November in Pelican Rapids.  

New this year will be a true “community theater” approach, featuring Pelican students—but with the stage and pit orchestra ranks supplemented by adults in the community. 

Nadine Brown, long active in the Pelican schools and local theater, will be the director.

Pelican School choir director Zane Biles will be the vocal director for the musical.  

Pelican band director Sean Fitzsimmons will be the music director and pit orchestra conductor. 

David Brown, a theater veteran, will be the stage and set designer. 

These temporary positions were approved by the Pelican Rapids School Board June 21:
