The Vikings were right back in action following their double-header against Hawley as they made the trip to Evansville for an out-of-conference game against the Chargers.

Despite a solid pitching performance from senior Jayden Ripley, the Vikings came up short by a score of 7-1. Ripley threw five innings, allowing four earned runs while striking out two Charger batters. Willem Pesch pitched a scoreless inning of relief.

Jack Paulson, Ethan Sjostrom, and Maclain Hovland collected hits for the Vikings as the bats were quieted by the Charger pitching staff.

The Vikings wrap up their regular season schedule next week with a home doubleheader against Breckenridge on May 22, followed by a game in Ulen on the 23rd.
