When the Friends of Maplewood group inquired about purchasing an Automatic Defibrillator from Ringdahl Ambulance, Mike (Ski) Cieniawski replied, “We can give you one for free!”

Last year when a business in Fergus Falls purchased one, they paid for two with the instructions to pay one forward. 

The friends of Maplewood were happy to be the lucky recipients. When Ski asked about the Friends’ mission statement, he replied, “We like that you are a volunteer group doing things to better your community, and we want to help.”

The Friends group hosts a number of well-attended events at the park each year. “We hope we never have a need to use it, but having it available if needed may save a life,” said Friends officer Judith Engebretson. “Thank you to Ringdahl Ambulance and the generous Fergus Falls business that paid it forward.”
