Green is the color for St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, but the Pelican Rapids High School Honor Society is thinking red. 

Blood red.  

The Honor Society students will again host an American Red Cross blood drive at the Pelican Rapids High School Legends gym.

St. Patty’s Day is the date.

Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. With each pint of blood that is donated, three lives can be saved! There is no substitute for blood. When a patient receives blood, it was given in advance by a generous donor.
