The Senior High Math Team competed in the fourth of five meets on January 24.

The team performed impressively, despite the difficult nature of the tests, noted coach Logan Knorr.

Pelican finished the meet with 31 points, which was good for second place, in a tie with Hillcrest Lutheran Academy. Vikings math bested the teams from Nevis, Albany, Breckenridge, and St. Cloud Cathedral.

Their only competitor with a higher score was Northern Cass (Hunter, ND).

Individual Standouts included Seniors Janae LaFerriere, Jed Carlson, and Sylvia Pesch. LaFerriere finished with a total of 6 points in Meet 4, which leaves her with 28 total points on the season. She is currently tied for 3rd place in the section as an individual. Carlson has a total of 21 points, putting him in 9th place individually. Pesch is right behind him, with 20 season points, which places her at 11th place in the section.

The final meet is scheduled for February 13 in Fergus Falls, at the M-State Campus.
