Downtown Pelican Rapids bustled with kids, crowds, businesses stocked for the holidays—and jolly elves of all descriptions on Nov. 25.
Pictured here, the official city Christmas tree, which was formally lit up at 5:30 p.m. prior to the “Lighted Horse Parade.” The tree is located in the Pelican Rapids VFW Club lot, right next to the U.S. flag. In the foreground, spectators anxiously await the “Lighted Horse Parade.”
Also pictured, the Mercantile on Main store, which was packed with shoppers prior to the parade. Working the counter, merchants Judy Tabbut and Kathy Bergren.
Dressed for the festive occasion at the Ace Hardware Store, owner Matt Strand, lower left.
Enjoying Christmas coloring is Emma King, with her mother Amy, at the Pelican Rapids Historic City Hall. Kid’s activities, and visits with Santa Claus himself were organized by the Merchants on the Move, at a beautifully decorated rustic city hall lobby.
