Pelican students honor heroes with VFW Auxiliary color contest

The VFW Post 5252 Auxiliary conducted its coloring contest, “Our Heroes” with the Pelican Rapids Viking Elementary school.
First Grade Winner, right, was Harper Fjestad.
Third Grade Winners are pictured at top, with Auxiliary representative Roth Holmgren.
1st place: Mckenzie Spaeth
2nd place: Sofia Rodriguez
3rd place: Lainey Motz
4th place: Jemma Januszewski.
Harper Fjestad and Mckenzie Spaeth will compete at District VFW Auxiliary.
The first-grade pictures were sent to the Pelican Rapids fire department, and the third-grade pictures were used to decorate the tables at the VFW on Veterans Day Nov. 11.
