Pep rallies at Viking elementary, high school provide big send-off for Pelican’s sole state qualifier

Charlie Larson earned All-State honors at the Minnesota State High School League cross-country meet for the second year in a row. He finished 13th place finish with a time of 16:34. 

The meet was held November 6 at St. Olaf College. 

Pelican Rapids High School’s lone runner qualifying for state, Larson received a spirited send-off on Friday, Nov. 4. Pep rallies were held at both the high school and the Viking elementary school, pictured here, as students wished Larson the best for the big meet.
