Lake Eunice Evangelical Free Church of rural Detroit Lakes will host the “Lakes Area Changed Lives Outreach”  September 23-25 at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and worship  10 a.m. Sunday.

Evangelist Danny Ottoson, a Pelican Rapids native, will be sharing life-changing messages from God’s Word. The Ottosons, along with familiar area musicians–Tim Stoll & Friends, Kim Schnitzer, Casey Perrin & Lee Brenna, and Jake & Jo Aldrich with Renee Fuchs.

“It will be much like an old-time tent revival,” said Merilee. “This outreach will be similar to the “old-fashioned” evangelistic crusades, like the Lowell Lundstrom Team, Billy Graham, and Dwayne Friend… that took place many years ago.  The idea for this event came from the oldest man in our congregation, Duane Henrickson, who was 95 years old and had such a burden to reach people with the love of Christ.”

Unfortunately Duane passed away suddenly six weeks ago so he won’t be attending these meetings, but “he will have a good seat in heaven to view it,” added Merilee.

Evangelist Ottoson and his wife, Merilee, have traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Philippines, and Mexico, sharing the gospel.

The Ottosons have also appeared with many nationally known ministries, including the Lundstroms and Nicky Cruz, whose life’s story was portrayed in the movie, “The Cross and The Switchblade.” Their music ministry has been heard at Bibleville Christian Conference Center in Alamo, Texas, and the Sonshine Music Festival in Willmar, MN.

Admission is free.
