The Orange Sox traveled to Barnesville June 14 and came up just shy, losing by a score of 5-4.

The game was scoreless after two innings before Pelican got on the board first.

Charlie Larson and Trey Benson led off with a pair of walks before Peyton Blakeway launched a two-run double off the center-field wall.

Barnesville would respond with three runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning on a walk and a Pelican Rapids error.

The Sox tied it up in the fourth when Jack Paulson brought in McHale Korf on a ground out to second base. Barnesville regained their lead in the bottom of the inning, plating two more on a sharp single to center field.

The Orange Sox cut the lead to 5-4 in the sixth inning but left the bases loaded. Timmy Guler and Carson McNeal split time on the mound for the Orange Sox. Guler got the start and pitched three innings allowing three earned runs while striking out four. McNeal came in relief and threw three sharp innings of his own, allowing only two runners to reach base while striking out seven.

Blakeway, Sjolie, Guler, Korf, Sjostrom, and Benson all collected hits for the Orange Sox on the night.
