Hank Emmel meet is Pelican tradition; Vikings turn out solid performances for hometown crowd

The Viking Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field Teams hosted the Hank Emmel Relays Invitational May 5.

Running events were run as relays, with the exception of the hurdles and the 3200m.

The boys’ team edged out conference foes Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton and Perham and claimed the team title with 116 points.

The girls’ team placed third behind Perham and Barnesville.

Both teams host the Section 6A True Team meet on Tuesday, May 10.
