Things are slowly returning to something similar to “normal,” including the Pelican Rapids Community Education programs. 

Community Ed is starting to offer some in-person classes again, including a series of quilting classes this month.

ADULT BEGINNING QUILTING

Sunday, Jan. 16

6:00-9:00 p.m.

Class participants will learn beginning quilting skills such as choosing fabrics, cutting, piecing, pressing, quilting and binding. 

Project: Winter themed “Quilt-As-You-Go” Table Runner, all materials and tools will be provided (colors will vary).

Location: PRHS Room A110 (west door 8-follow signs)

Maximum participants: 8

ADULT 5 YARD THROW QUILT

Sunday, Jan. 23 & 30 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Tools and pattern provided – participants will need to provide all materials which will cost approximately $75-150 depending on quality of fabrics chosen. Contact instructor for specific fabric/materials information.

Project: A 5-yard throw quilt measuring 52” x 68” (colors will vary)

Location: PRHS Room A110 (west door 8-follow signs)

Participants will have the opportunity to quilt their quilts on the instructors long-arm machine or have them professionally quilted for them for an additional cost.
