The second meet of the season for Minnesota Junior High School Mathematics League was  October 28.  

Seventh grader Hayden Haugrud’s score of 20 tied for fifth place in the West Central region. 

Just one question behind her was Maclain Hovland, who tied for eighth place with an 18. 

Hunter Hanson and Nichoas Rockstead each scored 12 points, followed closely by Linea Thomas, Andon Roisum, Grady Larson, and Abdulkani Aden. Also competing well were Dylan Hoadley, Keagan Nettestad-Wynn, Anahi Garcia, Brian Martinez, Ellie Carlson, and Emma Hanson.  

In team competition, the Pelican Rapids Vikings team earned third place behind Alexandria and Marshall, who is a new team to the region this year. Team members were Hayden Haugrud, Maclain Hovland, Hunter Hanson, Linea Thomas,  Andon Roisum, and Grady Larson.  

Cumulative results for the West Central region after two meets show the Pelican Rapids Vikings team in third place. Individually, Hovland is tied for sixth place and Haugrud is in ninth. Larson, Roisum, and Thomas are all tied for 18th place, while Hanson is in 25th.
