Antiques, otheritems stolen

A residence at Wall Lake, east of Fergus Falls and west of Underwood, was the scene of a burglary that was reported to sheriff deputies on April 27.

Missing were about five old chests containing antiques, photos, artifacts and paper work. Taken from a nearby vehicle was a catalytic converter.

Thieves oftentimes take the stolen converters to metal recyclers. Buyers pay an average of $50 per catalytic converter for copper and other metals inside the converter.

Certain converters are worth $100 and even $200.
