Sheriff deputies reported two thefts in Otter Tail County the weekend of April 23.

The first theft was reported in Elizabeth on April 23. Taken were women’s clothing, make-up and electronics. The value of the missing items was estimated at close to $1,000

The second incident involved the theft of a cord and a half of split wood, reported April 24 from a resident at Marion Lake, southeast of Dent. The estimated value was close to $500.

Chase of vehicle near town of Dalton

Sheriff deputies apprehended a driver following a chase that began in Dalton at 3:09 a.m. on April 26.

Authorities tried to pull over a vehicle that had only one headlight in operation. The vehicle took off and headed southbound on Highway 82 toward Ashby.

Once in Grant County, the driver headed to Interstate 94 where the chase ended. The driver was apprehended and information was forwarded to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
