It was the Christmas giving season—in March—for the Pelican Rapids Area Community Food Shelf, as represntatives of Zion Lutheran Church on Franklin Lake presented a $600 check to the food shelf. The contribution will be doubled, as part of the statewide FoodShare Month campaign.
Zion Church has shosted the November Christmas Closet event for the past eight years. The sale of gently used Christmas items—and goodies––has generated a total of more than $21,000, which has been donated to local, regional and Evangelical Lutheran Church of America mission and non-profit projects.
