Pelican Rapids held its second meet of the season for Minnesota Junior High School Mathematics League on December 15.
Individual results for the West Central region show Charlie Larson earned third place with a score of 20, and Willem Pesch tied for sixth place with a 16. Just one question behind him were Brody Syverson and Maclain Hovland, who tied for eighth place in the region.
They were followed closely by Hani Bashir and Easton Munick who tied for 12th place.
Right behind them were Hunter Hanson, Dylan Hoadley, Harley Jacobson, and Linea Thomas.
Also competing well were Morgan Korf, Kirra Johnson, Keagan Nettestad-Wynn, and Finn Stewart.
In team competition, the Pelican Rapids Vikings team earned second place behind Alexandria. Team members were Larson, Pesch, Syverson, Hovland, Hoadley, and Jacobson.
Cumulative results for the West Central region after two meets show the Pelican Rapids Vikings team in second place with 218 points, trailing Alexandria by 30. Individually, Larson is in third place, while Pesch, Syverson, and Hovland are tied for 5th place. Jacobson, Bashir, Hoadley, and Munick are also listed among the top competitors.
