Christopher John Erickson, 35, of rural Pelican Rapids, will have a felony conviction of 5th degree drug possession reduced to a misdemeanor if he stays law abiding during a probationary period.
This stay of imposition ruling was issued by a judge in county court, Fergus Falls, on Aug. 21. Supervised probation will be for five years.
The judge ordered Erickson to complete a chemical assessment and follow all recommendations. He also was ordered to abstain from alcohol and drugs, with the exception of prescribed medications.
There will be random drug testing. Erickson was ordered to fully cooperate with his probation agent during random searches of his residence, vehicle, workplace and property.
He cannot use or possess firearms during his probationary period. Erickson is responsible for court fees totaling $250.
