Dunnvilla Shooting Club will continue with its series of trapshooting fundraisers for local Pelican Rapids programs.

A second fundraising event is this Sunday, July 26 from 1 – 4 p.m. to help support the Pelican Rapids Fire Department.

The Dunvilla range, a short distance west of Lakeland General Store, on Highway 34, launched its fundraiser series in June, which raised funds for the Pelican Rapids Swimming Pool project.

The final season’s trap shooting event will be held Sunday, August 23 to raise money on behalf of the Tanner Markgraf scholarship that goes towards graduating seniors. Tanner was a young Pelican student who died of a rare medical condition in 2018, just as he was ready to start junior high.

The public is welcome to come and support these local projects.

Each trap shooter gets to shoot a round of 25 clay targets for $10 per round. Participants will shoot 5 clay targets at each of the 5 stations.

Additionally, there will be varying food vendor trucks per event.

Finally, youth games, sponsored by Lakeland General Store, will also be available at each fundraising event.
