On Wednesday, March 25th at 2pm, Governor Walz announced a ‘Stay at home’ order for Minnesota residents from Friday, March 27that 11:59pm to Friday, April 10th.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE PELICAN RAPIDS SCHOOLS?
Distance Learning goes into effect from March 30th to, at least, April 30th. Teachers will provide Distance Learning from home during this time and return to school buildings on May 1st and May 4th to plan for whatever instruction will occur moving forward.

Pelican Rapids Public Schools is considered essential. And as such, we will continue preparing and providing meals to school-age children in our area and providing childcare for essential workers.

We ask that families continue to pick-up learning materials and devices this week as scheduled. Parents will be further updated via our Pelican Rapids Public Schools Facebook page, and our website.

Respectfully,
Edwin R. Richardson, Ed.D.
