People have been stepping up to help where they can, including Pelican Rapids school band director Sean Fitzsimmons—who was aware that the Larry’s Super Market staff were working nearly around the clock during the COVID-19 rush.  “He offered to help out, and I took him up on it to relieve the produce department one day last week,” said Mark Dokken, Larry’s owner.  He came in another day to relieve staff in stocking grocery shelves.  Fitzsimmons also jumped in Sunday night, March 22, after store closing to fill produce. Dokken said he has three or four new college/high school aged youth coming in to help with truck unloading.

Fitzsimmons’ assignment here was bagging peanuts.
