Playing back to back days, the Pelican Rapids girls basketball team traveled to the University of Minnesota Morris to take on Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.  The Vikings defeated the Wolverines 56-34.  

“We got off to a slow start but we responded well before halftime,” said coach Brian Korf.  

The Vikings outscored CGB in the first half 33-19 and then outscored 23-15 in the second half.

Anna Stephenson led the Vikings in scoring with 10 points while Chloe Paulson scored 9 points.  Maddie Guler, Greta Tollefson, Ryley Paulson and Karina Torres scored 6 points each.  Allie Haiby scored 4 points while Tori Stephenson, Sophia Paulson and Kelsey Isaman added 2 points each for the Vikings.  

Ryley Paulson led the Vikings with with 5 rebounds while Tollefson and Anna Stpehenson grabbed 4 rebounds.  Tollefosn led the Vikings with 4 steals and led the Vikings with 5 assists on the night.  

The Vikings are back in Heart O’Lakes conference action on Monday night against Frazee Hornets and then travel to Breckenridge on Thursday night.  “This is a big week with two tough Heart O’Lakes conference games,” said coach Korf.
