Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be the day for the “Rural Racial Equity Summit.”
The full day forum will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., January 20, at the Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Fergus Falls.
At 5:00 p.m., at the Bigwood Event Center, there will be a Networking, Dinner and Faith in Equity Panel.
The Rural Racial Equity Summit invites equity-minded people to gather, connect, explore, and practice how to do the work of equity and inclusion to promote justice and enable all community members to flourish and thrive.
The summit is open to the public including educators, social service professionals, local government officials, students, members of the religious/faith community, business leaders, the arts community, law enforcement, and health care professionals.
