At the Hjemkomst Center on Tuesday, December 17, is HCSCC programming director Markus Krueger.  She will explore  the lives and times of World War I nurses from Clay County.

Markus’s talk will follow a remarkable group of women who served on the western front of the Great War and on the local front of the deadliest pandemic the world has ever seen in the 1918 H1N1 flu.

The event begins at 6 p.m. in Heritage Theater and is offered in conjunction with our current exhibition, War, Flu, & Fear: World War I and Clay County.
