Erhard’s claim as the “biggest little town 4th of July celebration” is evident in this photo.

An Otter Tail County deputy directs traffic in the background, as crowds of pedestrians make their way to the festivities in the park. Note the cars parked along Highway 24, nearly a half-mile long, east of the community.

There were four deputies directing traffic for the event, plus Sheriff Barry Fitzgibbons; along with four members of the volunteer Otter Tail County sheriff’s posse.

There was one medical call in ther midst of the parade, and a Ringdahl ambulance was able to respond and maneuver in and out of town with relative ease despite the congestion–thanks to the presence of officers and volunteers.
