The Pelican Rapids Lakers town team played Perham Wednesday night, June 26,  in a game they controlled from the start.

Jan Lindberg threw 9 innings in his first appearance on the mound for the Lakers allowing 3 runs on 6 hits.

Dana Johnson hit a 2 run homer in the 3rd to get the scoring going for the Lake Show. The Lakers would go on to score 3 more runs.

Friday night the Lakers took the field in Dent to a crowd of about 75. It was a back and forth affair which lasted 12 innings with the Lakers victorious 4-2.

The Lakers got down  2-0 early but did not let Dent extend the lead. Logan Riedel started pitching 6 innings followed by Drew Thompson and Adam Johnson.  The Lakers left 15 runners on base because of a couple of well struck balls right at the defenders.

The Lakers play again Tuesday at home vs the Moorhead Mud Cats and then Saturday in New York Mills at 7:30 p.m.
