The Summer Food Service Program will be available again for kids ages 1-18 this summer, through the Pelican Rapids School District.
This program enables children to receive free, nutritious meals when school out for the summer.
“To eat, just show up” is the only rule for the student nutrition program.
The food will be served at the Pelican Viking Elementary School, from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.; and from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch.
The Monday to Friday service continues to August 3, except for July 4-5.
This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), Food and Nutrition Service.
