Several county roads were icy and close to a dozen accidents took place in various sections of Otter Tail County between 4:26 a.m. and 6:38 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7.

Photos taken on Highway 108 east of Pelican Rapids, about three miles, where numerous vehicles slipped off into the ditches on Monday morning, Jan 7. Photos were submitted by Trooper Jesse Gabow of the Minnesota State Patrol.

One minor injury was reported at 6:13 a.m. in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 4 near Vergas.

 Jan. 5 a driver fell asleep at the wheel of a pickup at 10:08 p.m., ran off the roadway and struck a power pole. The accident took place south of Fergus Falls at the intersection of Highway 1 and 185th Street.

There were no injuries and airbags were deployed. Law enforcement notified Otter Tail Power Company that the pole had been hit by the pickup.
