Located in the lower level of the Riverside Bed and Breakfast building, Lilly and Rose Boutique (named after granddaughters) is now open with affordable, casual, easy-care and comfortable women’s clothing for sizes small to three x-large (or curvy girls).

Clothing items include tops, tunics, pants, jumpsuits, dresses and leggings. There are also jewelry items available for purchase. Other items will be added as inventory allows and as the customers express what they would like to see in the boutique.

Around May first, an online version of the boutique will be available.

Jodi Jendrysik and her husband Jason have been hard at work preparing the space for opening. Jason has assisted with some construction projects including building the racks that hold the merchandise and making a door for the storage and work room area.

Wanting a slower pace job where she could be in control of her work time, Jodi sought out opportunities in the Pelican Rapids and Detroit Lakes area. Her ideas were to either open a bistro or a boutique. With encouragement from her sister who lives in Kansas, Jodi decided on a boutique for her self-employment choice. Her sister, who also owns a boutique, promised to guide Jodi every step of the way.

The couple decided on Pelican Rapids because of the proximity to their home and they truly loved the diversity and friendliness of the town.

Originally a Wisconsin girl, Jodi attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas where she met Jason. She graduated from Washburn with a degree in social work and also received a degree in Christian Youth Ministry from the Nazarene University. In Osage City, Jodi and Jason owned a Bed & Breakfast and Tea House for twelve years.

Wanting a change and more family time, the family moved here several years ago from Osage City, Kansas. Jason accepted a position with Dynamic Homes and Jodi went to work as a manager for Caribou Coffee in Detroit Lakes.

The family purchased a home on Franklin Lake where they live with two of their four children. Their family also includes three grandchildren Miles, Lilly and Rose.

Jodi is excited to become part of the growing retail community of Pelican Rapids and looks forward to meeting her customers and stocking the items they desire.

The Boutique will be open Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 – 5:30, with the possibility of addition summer hours.
